We tend to forget the full statement: “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”
In today’s hustle culture, it’s just “All work.” Spoiler alert — Jack’s not just getting dull, he’s getting burned out, his BP is through the roof, heart attacks circling like vultures, and the list goes on.
At this rate, Jack’s on the express lane to an early check-in at the wooden suite — six feet under.
Those who understand that rest is not a liability but an asset.
A recent survey conducted across 15 countries found that India is topping the charts — but unfortunately, not for a good reason.
India reported the highest rates of burnout, setting off alarms across the corporate landscape. As Anisha Padukone, CEO, Live Love Laugh pointed out, “I don’t know if work-life balance is top of mind for leaders, but it definitely should be.”
And yet, some CEOs — both in India and globally — seem to be taking “grind” a little too literally.
